CrockPot Roast

A fall comfort food recipe that only take 10 minutes of prep time? Sign me up!

Since the temperatures have dropped, I've been itching to use my CrockPot. This roast is one of the most delicious meals my family makes, and I've been looking forward to it for months!

The roast will be incredibly tender after 8 hours, and the pepperoncini give the meat a unique flavor and a little bit of spice. This is sure to be a new favorite!

You will need:

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp garlic powder

4-6 lb chuck roast or pork butt

1-1 oz packet Ranch dressing mix

1-1 oz packet au jous mix

1 stick unsalted butter

6 pepperoncini, from the jar

Directions:

Coat roast with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the roast on both sides (about 3-5 minutes each side).

Add the roast and the rest of the ingredients to a CrockPot. Cook on low for 8 hours.

Serve with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables for a balanced meal.
